Individual therapy is a dedicated space for you to explore what's going on beneath the surface, at your own pace and in your own way. Together, we'll work to understand your patterns, process your experiences, and build the tools you need to feel better in your day-to-day life. Whether you're dealing with something specific or just know that something needs to change, therapy can help you get there. You don't have to have it all figured out before you start.

Individual Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. Rather than talking through an experience in detail, EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain process memories that have gotten "stuck." Many people find that it leads to relief faster than traditional talk therapy alone. It can sound a little unusual at first, but the research behind it is strong and the results speak for themselves.

A Session with Me Could Include:

Every session is a little different depending on where you are and what you need that day. Sessions typically occur once a week for 50 minutes. Here's a sense of what we might do together:

  • Checking in about your week

  • Learning how your brain and nervous system work

  • Building and practicing coping skills

  • EMDR and trauma reprocessing

  • Exploring patterns, emotions, and experiences

  • Communication and boundary practice

  • Finding language for things that are hard to say

  • Laughing, because therapy doesn't have to be heavy all the time
